Frozen and chilled packaging faces a problem ordinary food packaging doesn't: condensation and cold. Cartons meet moisture as they move between freezer and ambient, and standard labels stiffen and peel in the cold. Both have to be specified for the cold chain from the start.
We produce food-grade cartons and freezer-grade labelling built to survive condensation, low temperatures, and the trip through a chilled supply chain, while still printing to shelf standard.
Moving between temperatures puts water on the surface. Boards and coatings are chosen for moisture tolerance so the pack doesn't soften or delaminate.
Standard adhesives fail in the freezer. Freezer-grade (deep-freeze) adhesives bond at low and sub-zero temperatures. This must be specified before printing, not fixed after.
Food contact means food-grade substrates and low-migration inks. Where standard board is used, a food-safe barrier keeps it away from the product.
The pack still has to sell. We keep print and finish to retail standard while meeting the cold-chain requirements.
